In August, the Kherson Community Foundation “Zakhyst” launched a fundraising campaign for an eight-band EW “Dronopad” system for Kherson firefighters.
This equipment is essential to protect rescuers from repeated drone strikes while extinguishing fires in a frontline city.
Who Made This Possible
We sincerely thank everyone who contributed — especially the key donors from Kherson’s business community:
- Serhii Ratushnyi
- Serhii Rybalko
- Olha Zahrebelna
- Olena Lobanova, the Foundation’s manager, and her youth team in Kyiv
Special thanks to:
- Viktor Romanchenko, who held a charity solo concert at BlagoParty on October 29 in Kyiv
- The National Network of Local Philanthropy Development, which added nearly 100,000 UAH, allowing us to fully close the fundraising goal
Supporting Local Business
The EW system was purchased from a Kherson-based manufacturer.
This is a matter of principle for us: we not only provide firefighters with critical equipment but also support the economy of a city that continues to stand strong under constant shelling.
Testing and Launch
After arriving in Kherson, the system underwent several days of testing.
The tests confirmed its ability to effectively counter drones across eight frequency bands.
📌 The EW “Dronopad” is now operating and protecting our rescuers!
Fundraising for the Second EW System Continues!
We have already raised 127,000 UAH out of the required 250,000 UAH for the second unit.
This is our chance to strengthen the safety of Kherson residents and firefighters who work every day under enemy fire.
