Larysa Polska has led the Community Foundation of Kherson “Zakhyst” throughout all 23 years of its existence, since its founding. Throughout this time, her work has been closely tied to Kherson and its community: developing civic initiatives, promoting philanthropy, supporting Kherson residents, and implementing projects that contribute to the city’s development.
With the outbreak of the war, humanitarian response and support for people facing difficult circumstances became key areas of the Foundation’s work.
During the full-scale war, the Community Foundation of Kherson “Zakhyst”, under Larysa Polska’s leadership, has provided nearly UAH 87 million in humanitarian assistance to Kherson residents.
Behind this figure are thousands of people who received essential support when they needed it most. It reflects assistance to residents of Kherson and the surrounding community, support for the most vulnerable, and the daily work of the Foundation’s team amid the full-scale war.
